From the Sea

At Beach Art we offer an exclusive range in individual pieces capturing a little piece of nature using natural elements. Our sea worn driftwood (wood polished by the waves and washed ashore) is collected during beach combing forays around the Scottish & UK coastline. It has travelled countless miles before coming to rest on the shore and found before being brought home, cleaned & prepared making it perfectly okay for the pieces to be used indoors and outdoors. Also, the shells that we use are in the main collected from Scotland’s beaches, where a piece may call for more exotic shells, we only ever buy from sustainable sources.

About Me

Welcome to Beach Art — a creative project born from Nicola’s love of the coast and her passion for reimagining found objects. Based in Edinburgh and often inspired by the shores of Portobello, Nicola transforms driftwood, sea glass, and beach finds into joyful, one-of-a-kind artworks. What started as casual beachcombing quickly turned into something more—a daily practice of creativity, colour, and community connection. Whether it’s collecting “seaglass tinies,” repurposing old materials, or painting whales with character, Nicola’s work is full of story and soul.
